It’s been over two weeks since Anime Expo, so I figured I better get on with my Sailor Moon Day report before it becomes old news xD Just a heads up, this is a SUPER long, image heavy post but I’d really appreciate it if you’ll take the time to read it! ♡
As some of you know, the hubby and I applied to the ACP Sailor Moon cosplayer search and we weren’t selected. We were hoping to get free passes to the con, but in the end we decided not to let out preparations go to waste and went anyway~ I got him watching the series, we have just finished the first season then and the feels were fresh…we couldn’t miss out on the Sailor Moon festivities, especially since we lived so close to LACC! It was only a 15 minute drive from our apartment~

We grabbed our badges the night before so that we didn’t have to wait in line and just enjoy the day~ We had a rough agenda: See the Sailor Moon Crystal premiere, do the stamp rally to get the commemorative coin, meet the official cosplayers and attend the cosplay gathering.
Crowded con is crowded!
We managed to do 3/4 of the things in our list…we opted out of the Crystal premiere because it was midday and everyone was asked to line up outside in the sun for an hour. I would have been okay with that if I wasn’t in cosplay, and my husband can not stand high temperatures at all. Besides, we thought we could just watch it as soon as we get home~

So we skipped along to the dealer’s room, where we spent most of our time. We headed straight to the Viz Media booth to find out how to get the coin, and surprisingly, it’s not as readily available as we thought. Only a certain amount of stamp rally cards were given out each day and we were lucky to have been there as they were handing them out.
